As I was taking this shot, a fellow walking by (a local, as far as I could tell) got a bit past us on the sidewalk, then stopped and turned back to us. "What on earth is she taking a photo of?" he said to Dan, not unpleasantly. "The texture of the paint," I replied. "Well, bless your heart!" he said, as he continued on down the sidewalk.
